Welcome to MissIsGoode - previously known as Life and Times of a Student.

My name is Issy and I'm the author of this here blog. I'm originally from Cornwall but my path in life has so far led me to reside in Nottinghamshire. I graduated in 2015 with a degree from Keele University in English and American Literature.
I started blogging in the summer of 2012 as I began to prepare for student life. I'd recently received my acceptance from Keele University and had spent my summer working hard to earn some pennies and preparing for my up and coming university adventure. Whilst reading anything and everything I could on the internet about student life, I began to notice that there were very few personal blogs focusing solely on the university experience. Now it's a pretty well populated field within the blogging community but at the time when I started, it seemed I was one of the few.

So when I started this blog, I aimed to share honest and personal experiences about student life and sometimes, maybe they were a little too honest. Towards the end of my first year, inspired by a fellow student blogger named Liv, whose blog you can view here, I started interviewing students from all over the country about their experience of first year. It's been a pretty long journey, and I've certainly lost my way, neglecting my blog more than I sometimes would have liked, but also, as much as I needed to at times.

I started this journey in my southern home of Porthleven, Cornwall - which will always be my home - and after spending one year in student halls in Keele and the last two years of university in a cute little six bedroom house in Newcastle-under-Lyme, I now reside in Nottinghamshire with my partner. We're on our way to saving for our own house whilst renting a recently done up property out in a tiny little village.

Gone are my student days but I'll never forget them and therefore, I won't stop sharing my stories and my advice on this here blog. Student life was a bit of an adventure for me and wasn't what I expected at all in some ways but I hope as I share my tales people learn something from them.
